In Chhapra, a youth showed a black flag to the Chief Minister, protesting against the deaths due to spurious liquor. The incident took place at Joginia Kothi Kachhari Station Road when the Chief Minister was returning to Patna after completing the Samadhan Yatra programme. That’s why in front of the passing convoy, a young man suddenly started running on the road with a black flag in his hand saying – Nitish Kumar Murdabad, shame on Nitish Kumar, who will give account of those who died due to drinking spurious liquor, Nitish Kumar is worthless. As soon as he shouted slogans, the soldiers standing in the security caught him and the police of the town station took him into custody.
Chhapra came from Gopalganj to protest
On being asked, he identified himself as Vipul Choubey, describing himself as a resident of Gopalganj. He told that he is the founder of Hunkar Dal. He had reached Chapra from Gopalganj to oppose the Chief Minister’s Samadhan Yatra. He had to say that prohibition was only in name. He alleged that the Chief Minister himself is getting liquor sold and is pretending to ban liquor. When the police was taking Vipul Chaubey away, he said that these people are not able to catch the one who is selling liquor and have gone to catch the common man. He also said that people are dying after drinking alcohol all over Bihar and Nitish Kumar is roaming all over Bihar making fun of people. Liquor ban should be strictly implemented in Bihar because it is the common man and poor people who are getting affected more by alcohol.
