Police have arrested her father Vinay Singh Chandel in the case of student Shreya Singh committing suicide by shooting herself in Bidhnu. Police have also recovered the pistol and cartridges used for suicide from him. According to the police, the police itself has taken action by registering a report at Bidhnu police station as a plaintiff on charges of violating the Arms Act, hiding evidence and giving wrong information to a public servant. The accused father was sent to jail after being produced in the court.
