After Azamgarh and Chitrakoot airports get permission from DGCA, the first flight will start from next month. This will provide direct connectivity between the two districts. With the first flight service, both the districts will be connected to Shri Ram Circuit through air route.
With the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya, the number of devotees will increase rapidly. Keeping this in view, air service is being improved. Varanasi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya and Azamgarh airports are being connected to each other. In this sequence, the operation and technical team of Babatpur Airport visited Mandurai Airport of Azamgarh. This team is busy finalizing the preparations for the first flight. The first flight service will start from Chitrakoot.
License received, now survey is being conducted
The Ministry of Civil Aviation Director General (DGCA) has issued an aerodrome license to Azamgarh Airport on 15 December. At the same time, aerodrome license was issued to Chitrakoot Airport three days ago on January 9. After the permission of DGCA, a survey is also being conducted by the aviation companies between the two airports.
Gokul Sharma, former member of Babatpur Airport Advisory Committee, said that with the start of air service between Chitrakoot, Azamgarh and Varanasi, pilgrims will get many options. Tourism Welfare Association General Secretary Pradeep Rai said that Shri Ram Circuit is being connected by air route.

Chitrakoot Airport has also got license from DGCA. Airlines will operate during the day only. Azamgarh Airport is also licensed. The date of operation of the airline will be announced soon.
