Sai Sudarshan and Shubhman Gill are not the first pair to have scored centuries in an innings of an IPL match. Before that, there was an SRH vs RCB match in 2019, in which the opening pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow played century innings while playing for Hyderabad. In that match, Bairstow scored 114 runs in 56 balls and Warner, on the other hand, scored 100 runs in 55 balls. In this memorable match, SRH registered a huge victory of 118 runs by all-out RCB on the score of 113.
In 2016, there was a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Lions (GL), in which Bangalore batted first. RCB opener Chris Gayle was out after scoring only 6 runs in that match, but after this there was a historic partnership of 229 runs between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. In that match, Kohli scored 109 runs in 55 balls and De Villiers scored 129 runs in 52 balls. In this match, Virat and de Villiers made a partnership of 229 runs. In this match, the entire Gujarat team was limited to 104 runs while chasing the target, hence they had to face defeat by 144 runs.
