ICC Player of the Month, September 2023: ICC has announced the ‘Player of the Month’ for September 2023. This time Shubman Gill has been chosen the best player of the month. Shubman has achieved this title by defeating fellow player Mohammad Siraj and England opener David Malan.
In the month of September, Shubman had scored 480 runs at an excellent batting average of 80. He was the highest run scorer in the Asia Cup played in September. In the Asia Cup, he scored 302 runs at a batting average of 75.5. After this, Gill also scored 178 runs in two matches of the ODI series against Australia.

Shubman’s performance was like this in eight innings
Shabhuman also scored two centuries in September. He scored a century against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup and the second century against Australia in the second ODI. Gill also scored three half-centuries during this period. In the 8 innings played in September, he was out for less than 50 runs only twice.
Shubman’s batting average in ODI is 65+
Till now Shubman Gill’s ODI record has been excellent. 24-year-old Shubman has scored 1917 runs in 35 ODI matches at a batting average of 66.1. His strike rate is also 102.84. Currently he is ranked number-2 in the ICC ODI batting rankings. At present, he could not play the first two matches for Team India in the World Cup 2023 due to not fully recovering from dengue. It is expected that he will once again take charge of the Indian opening in the India-Pakistan World Cup match on 14th October.
