Shubman Gill’s Sister Shahneel On Raksha Bandhan: The festival of Raksha Bandhan strengthens the bond between brothers and sisters. Rakshabandhan is celebrated all over India. On the other hand, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Indian cricket team’s star batsman Shubman Gill’s sister Shehnil expressed her pain about her brother. Gill is currently present in Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup with Team India.
IPL franchise Gujarat Titans has shared a very special video, in which Shubman Gill’s sister Shehnil was seen talking about her brother’s ouster. In the video, she said, “I would say that he was my best friend when we were younger. We used to hangout all the time. And then he started going out for matches and staying away from home, it was a bit difficult because I don’t have any other friends.”
He further added, “We have always had a very close relationship as our age difference is barely 2.5 years. When we were kids, I was not as friendly as I am now. I was a shy kid and he was mischievous.”
Gill can play against Pakistan for the first time
Let us tell you that Team India will play its first match against Pakistan on 2 September in the Asia Cup. Shubman Gill can get a chance as an opener in the playing XI of this match because the tournament is being played in ODI format and Gill has looked very good in ODIs since the beginning. In such a situation, he can get a chance in the great match against Pakistan.
It is also worth noting that Gill has been opening in all the three formats of India for some time now. He made his T20 International debut in 2023 itself. He has so far played 18 Tests, 27 ODIs and 11 T20 Internationals for India.
