Siddharth Anand On Fighter: Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, has been released in theaters on the occasion of Republic Day. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are seen in lead roles in the film. People were impressed after seeing the trailer of Fighter and were eagerly waiting for the release of the film. The film has been released and it has not been able to live up to the expectations from its box office collection. Everyone thought that Fighter would create a new record at the box office but nothing like this happened. Siddharth’s last film Pathan was a hit at the box office as soon as it was released. Now the director has explained why Fighter could not be as successful as Pathan.
In a special conversation with Gallata Plus, Siddharth Anand talked about the box office performance of the film. He said that the biggest reason for this was that the film was released on a working day. The film was released on 25 January. Releasing in the middle of the week faced many challenges.
People did not know about aerial action
Siddharth further said- The concept of the fighter was aerial action. About which many people did not know. He said- The second thing is genre. Fighter is a big leap for a filmmaker. This is something that is completely new. There is no reference for the audience in this. He says, ‘What are these planes doing?
Siddharth further said- About 90 percent of the people of our country do not have the experience of sitting in a plane. He has never been to the airport. Because of which he could not connect with the film. Especially in aerial action scenes.
Talking about Fighter, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi are seen playing important roles along with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
