Years later, Ranjeet, who was a very famous villain of Bollywood, has revealed that some other actress and not Jaya was cast for ‘Silsila’ along with Rekha and Amitabh.

In fact, in an interview given to ANI, veteran actor Ranjeet revealed that Parveen Babi was first selected in ‘Silsila’ along with Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan. However, later Parveen’s card was cut from the film and Jaya Bachchan was replaced in her place. Ranjeet also hinted at the reason behind Parveen’s removal from the film.
Why was Parveen Babi thrown out of Silsila?
Ranjeet said, “Parveen Babi was my dear friend… She was all alone. She was a beautiful woman. Always smiling and we called her ‘Fawada’ because of her teeth… Once she was very upset. And she was crying. I asked her, ‘What happened, we were in Kashmir at that time. Then she told me that she was cast for ‘Silsila’ but she was asked to leave the film. A clever controversy Because of this, he cast Rekha and Jaya Bhaduri in the film. Otherwise, Parveen and Rekha were with Amitabh in the film.”
