After the irregularities in the constable recruitment examination, now the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, which is preparing to conduct the written examination again, is also considering the option of online examination. According to sources, higher officials are exploring all possibilities to make the re-conducted written examination foolproof. In such a situation, it would not be surprising if the responsibility of conducting the examination is given to some other government institution.
In fact, after the irregularities in the constable direct recruitment examination, conducting the examination again without any breach has become a cause of trouble for the board. The officials are worried about how to avoid paper leak gang, solver gang, copying mafia while conducting the examination again. At the same time, the selection of the executing agency for conducting the examination also has to be done again, for which the officials are not able to muster the courage to give a chance to any private agency. Many officials are of the opinion that the Recruitment Board should take the services of any government organization that conducts examinations like Delhi Police etc., which have strong arrangements to curb paper leaks etc.
Consideration is also going on to conduct physical efficiency test first.
Some officials are in favor of conducting online examinations, although this would require a large number of computer centres. Many irregularities have come to light in the online examination for Inspector recruitment held two years ago. After which cases were also registered against the operators of the computer centers set up as examination centers. In such a situation, this option is also being considered that the physical efficiency test of the candidates should be conducted first, in which the selected candidates will be given a chance to appear in the written examination.
