It so happened that Ummed Singh, a resident of Khori village of Rewari district of Haryana, had come with his friends to visit Shanidev Dham in Kokilavan. While visiting Shanidev at 11 am on Saturday, a woman pickpocket stole his purse which contained all his government documents and 10 thousand rupees. After the incident, he went straight to Kokilavan police station to lodge a report.

According to the victim, when he gave the complaint to the police, the police became suspicious after seeing the incident of pickpocketing. First they made him sit for hours. When the victim pleaded for help saying that he was a government employee, the outpost in-charge asked him to change the complaint. The in-charge inspector denied having any knowledge of the case and said that action has been taken as per the complaint.
