Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai Review: Films are released every Friday in India. Some huge budget films create a ruckus before coming with a lot of uproar, while the release of some films goes away in silence. But on these Fridays some such films are released, which are bigger than Friday and they are remembered for years. One such film is going to be released on May 23, 2023, which will re-instill your faith in ‘cinematic magic’. The name of the film is ‘Only one person is enough’ and this person is Manoj Bajpayee. Let me tell you why I heaped so many praises on this film.
What does the story say: First of all, if we talk about the story, then you will find its story very familiar and you may remember many incidents of the old years. The story is about a guru who calls himself Baba, who runs many ashrams. Noah Singh (Adrija Sinha), a minor girl studying in the school of his ashram, has filed a case of rape against this Baba. In this matter that has reached the court, on one side is Baba, to save him, apart from Sharma ji (Vipin Sharma), a whole exercise has been done by one of the biggest lawyers and on the other side is this girl whose case is fought by PC Solanki (Manoj Bajpayee). This is that PC Solanki who ‘Ek hi banda hai aur kafi hai’.
In this film, the character of Noah Singh is played by Adrija Sinha.
You have seen court-room drama in many films in Hindi cinema, but ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai’ can be said to be the most original film of this class so far. Neither the orderly shouting loudly nor the people sitting in the courtroom clapping on the closing speech. The story of this film is so tight and so tight that you will not get time to stop anywhere and this thing becomes very important in OTT release. Director Apoorva Singh Karki deserves congratulations that he has crafted this film in this way. Often you get long monologues full of emotions in such a crime room drama, but here the author Deepak Kingrani has to be praised, who has not used blank emotions anywhere in crafting the story. The fun of listening to his written closing speech is something else.
‘Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai’ has the ability to keep you hooked to the story from its first scene to the last and if anyone can do this work, then it is Manoj Bajpayee. To instill faith in good cinema, to teach the entire syllabus of acting through 1 film, one person is enough.. Manoj Bajpayee. Manoj Bajpayee’s body language in front of big lawyers in the courtroom will surprise you. He has been seen doing magic in every scene. The confidence to present your side in front of the judge, the respect of the senior lawyer standing in front of you or the fear of danger to your family’s life, imagine that you are seeing all these within the same person and that too in the same scene. Manoj has made this film with his performance, which will be remembered for years. Especially the climax of this film, in which along with Manoj’s words, his eyes, his fingers will also be seen acting.
This film of Manoj Bajpayee can be shown as a syllabus to the students learning acting.
This film belongs to Manoj Bajpayee, but during this time other actors have also emerged. Surya Mohan Kulshrestha, seen in the character of Bab, has spoken only a few dialogues, but he has done the work of creating hatred in you with his looks and gestures. Whereas, Adrija Sinha, seen in the character of Noah Singh, has been excellent. Whenever she will be seen on the screen, you will be able to feel that pain from her eyes. At the same time, Vipin Sharma, who was seen as the lawyer of the opposition, will once again be liked.
This film releasing on ZEE5 is a great film and can say that the film released in 2023 which you will heartily accept without If and But. Manoj Bajpayee, who came from Bihar to become a hero, did not get admission in NSD (National School of Drama) and he has been regretting this for years. But it is certain that the wonderful work done by Manoj in the last few years with his acting, he will definitely be included in the books of NSD as a course. And if this happens, then ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai’ will definitely be shown to those students. 4 stars to this film from my side.
