A raid was conducted at Ambedkar Kalyan hostel in Sitamarhi late last night. During this, two country-made pistols were recovered from the hostel. Regarding this, SDPO Sadar Ramakrishna told in a press conference that there was information about some students of the hostel being harassed. They had complained that some miscreants who live in the hostel illegally harass many other students. Secret information was received that all the miscreants are gathered. However, as soon as the police arrived, all the miscreants fled. At the same time, all the miscreants who fled have also been identified.
SDPO said that information was received that senior students of Sitamarhi’s Ambedkar Kalyan hostel who have left the hostel have beaten up junior students and have also threatened to shoot them. On the basis of information, a team was formed and raids were conducted with District Welfare Officer, Sitamarhi and City Police Station Head Vinay Pratap. On the directions of the hostel students, some rooms were marked and searched. The students cooperated fully in that. Two country-made pistols were recovered from room number-30 of the old building of the hostel. During interrogation, it was told that the room was allotted in the name of three boys, in which other outside boys used to come and go a lot.
The absconding accused have been identified as Sanjeev Kumar, Ritesh Kumar, Avinash Anand alias Abhay, Harendra Paswan. He told that the raiding team included Sub Inspector Vinay Pratap, SHO, Sitamarhi, constable Santosh Kumar Singh, Sunil Kumar, Kaushal Kishore Yadav and others.
