UP Cricket T20 League: A new league scheme has been made by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, whose name is Uttar Pradesh League. With this league being played in T20 format, the players of Uttar Pradesh will get a chance to play at a big level. Teams from a total of 6 cities will participate in this league of UP. Which includes- Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Meerut and Noida. At the same time, let us know which leagues have been played in India till now.
Tenders were taken out for 6 franchises in the league, whose forms were to be filled by August 11 with Rs 50,000. All the bids placed for the league will be made public on Tuesday, 15th August. On the other hand, if media reports are to be believed, the players’ auction can be held on August 16 and the tournament can start from August 23. The base price of the players participating in the auction will be Rs 25,000.
Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association CEO Ankit Chatterjee gave information about the base price of the players. At the same time, players in the league will be divided into three categories. Those players who have played for UP’s Ranji team and IPL will be included in A category. Whereas under-23 and under-19 players will be kept in B category.
Apart from this, the recovering players of the state will be included in the C category. According to reports, 150 players have been included for the auction. All the matches of this league of UP will be played at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
