Smriti Irani On Her TV Show Journey: Smriti Irani was once called the queen of TV. She got recognition from Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Kyun Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ (Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi). ‘Because’ proved to be a milestone in his career. However, Smriti has done a lot of papad to establish her foothold in TV. Smriti has struggled a lot to earn every penny. Even she kept working till the last days of pregnancy, but one day she was suddenly fired from the job.
Smriti Irani married Parsi businessman Zubin Irani in the year 2001. The actress has two children. Son’s name is Johar and daughter’s name is Joyish. Smriti Irani recently in a conversation with radio jockey Neelesh Mishra recalled the moment when the actress was fired from her job during her pregnancy. Actress-turned-Union Minister Smriti told that she was working as a host in Gautam Adhikari’s show ‘Kuch Dil Se’ during her pregnancy, but after her departure, this show also did not work.
Thrown out of the show in pregnancy
Smriti Irani said, “Till the last day of pregnancy, I was shooting for Gautam Adhikari’s show. I used to host the show. I was 24 or 25 when I was pregnant with my son. I had no money, was new at work. I worked till the last day of the ninth month, so that I wanted to take leave for my pregnancy. The other day I was told – ‘You are sacked’ and Mita Vashisht was replaced. I told him that the show would not work because I used to write the script for the episodes. That show was number one because I used to write scripts. You will get a new anchor, but where will you get the script writer?”
Smriti Irani’s tongue was called ‘Kali’
Smriti Irani told that the show stopped very quickly as soon as she left. The actress said, “As soon as I left the show, it went off air soon. People say that I have a black tongue, but I knew what I was doing in that show. In the same interview, the actress had also expressed pain over her miscarriage. The actress had said that during the miscarriage, the actress used to do double shift.
