A study published in Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes states that the risk of stroke is higher in youth due to non-traditional factors. In this study, 2,600 stroke and 7,800 controlled cases under the age of 55 years were analyzed. It was found that non-traditional risk factors of stroke in men include migraine, kidney failure, thrombophilia and in women, migraine, thrombophilia and malignancy stroke. At the same time, traditional risk factors for stroke include high cholesterol-fat, high blood pressure and tobacco consumption.
