Soan Papdi Recipe In Hindi: As soon as Diwali arrives, the process of making and buying sweets starts. You must have eaten Soan Papdi many times which bursts open as soon as you put it in your mouth. But do you know how Soan Papdi is made? With this question, Local 18 reached a sweet shop in Bahraich. Then it came to light that not 2 but 4 artisans prepare it together, the price of which is only ₹ 480 per kilogram.
How is Soan Papdi made?
1. First of all, take gram flour and flour in a large bowl and mix them together. Then take a large pan and heat it on medium flame. When the pan gets properly heated, add some ghee in it.
2. Add the flour mixture to the pan and fry it on low flame until it turns light golden red. Keep stirring slowly. When it turns brown, keep it aside to cool. Prepare the syrup simultaneously. Mix sugar and water in a vessel. Let it cook on flame.
3. When it boils, add milk to it. Leave cardamom powder for more taste. When the syrup starts thickening, see if strings are forming in it. Prepare two and a half strings of syrup. Now mix the flour mixture in this syrup. Stir it well with the help of a large fork, until it starts forming like threads.
4. Put it on a greased surface or plate and spread it to a thickness of one inch. Add ground cardamom and press gently with your hands. If you like coconut, you can also add some grated coconut on it. And dry fruits can also be added.
5. Now let it cool and then cut it into one inch square pieces. Now store them in an airtight container and enjoy eating. This entire process takes about 2 to 3 hours.
