Solar and lunar eclipse in pitru paksha 2024 two grahan in gap 15 days is inauspicious

Planet 2024: Pitru Paksha is about to begin. In the 15 days of Pitru Paksha, devotion and reverence towards ancestors is expressed by performing Shradh, Tarpan and Pinddaan. Pitru Paksha begins on Bhadrapada Purnima and ends on Ashwin Amavasya.

This year, Pitru Paksha is starting from 18 September 2024 and will end on 2 October 2024. A unique event will happen this year during Pitru Paksha. Because Pitru Paksha will start with a lunar eclipse and on the last day there will be a shadow of a solar eclipse.

This year’s Pitru Paksha is not auspicious

On 18 September 2024, the second lunar eclipse of the year 2024 will occur on the day of Pratipada Shradh, the beginning of Pitru Paksha. At the same time, the second solar eclipse of the year will occur on the last day of Pitru Paksha, i.e. 2 October 2024. However, both these eclipses will not be visible in India and neither will Sutak be valid here. But due to two eclipses in the same fortnight during Pitru Paksha, it is not considered auspicious.

There will be 2 eclipses in one side, what will be the effect!

  • The main reason for lunar eclipse is the dark shadow of the earth. Whereas the main reason for solar eclipse is the moon. According to religious stories, the reason for eclipse is Rahu and Ketu.
  • On the other hand, when solar and lunar eclipses occur in a period of 15 days, it is considered inauspicious in astrology. Because whenever such a situation arises, many big changes are seen.
  • In the Dwapar era also, just before the Mahabharata War, in the month of Kartik, two eclipses had occurred in a fortnight in a similar manner. In such a situation, this year too, lunar and solar eclipses will occur on 18 September and 2 October 2024 at an interval of 15 days, which can be inauspicious.
