– Whenever a marriage has to be solemnized, a notice has to be given to the court 30 days before that. The court itself sets the date of marriage.

– After 30 days both become eligible to get married in court. Both the man and the woman have to sign in the marriage registrar’s office.

– Due to the Special Marriage Act, no rituals are performed in the marriage. This is a marriage that takes place under the legal process.
