Aiden Markram Warning To Indian Cricket Team: The final match of the T20 World Cup 2024 will be played between India and South Africa. This title battle between the two will take place today i.e. on Saturday, June 19 at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Through this match, the South African team would like to win its first World Cup, while Team India would like to look forward to the second T20 World Cup. But before this final match, South African captain Aiden Markram gave a big warning to Team India.
Markram said before the final that whatever the result, we have the hunger to go out and win for the team. The African captain made it clear that he will play with all his heart for the trophy. He will not want to let the first World Cup trophy slip out of his hands at any cost. Let us tell you that the South African team has reached the final of the first World Cup after a long wait of 32 years.
In the press conference before the match, Markram said, “India is a great team. South Africa has been progressing in the right direction for the last few years. This is a big opportunity for us. Whatever the result, we are hungry to go out and win matches for the team.”
Further talking about the team, the African captain said, “We have the confidence that we can win the match from any situation. As a team, we have been here for many years as a white ball squad. The boys are finally understanding their role in the team.”
Both teams reached the final without losing any match
It is worth noting that India and South Africa have entered the final of the T20 World Cup without losing a single match. India played a total of 7 matches till reaching the final. The team played 4 matches in the group stage, winning 3 and one of their matches was cancelled due to rain. In the Super-8, the Men in Blue played three matches and won all three to make it to the semi-finals and now have confirmed their place in the final.
On the other hand, South Africa played a total of 8 matches to reach the final of the tournament and they won all of them. First, Africa won four matches in the group stage and then won all three matches in the Super-8. Then the team entered the final by winning the semi-final.
