South Korea Plane Crash: A major plane accident occurred on Sunday at Muan International Airport in South Korea. The accident was so horrific that out of 181 people on board the plane, only two people could survive. The people killed in the accident were so burnt that only 65 out of 179 could be identified. There were 181 passengers and six crew members on the plane.
Regarding the plane crash, the fire department of Muan city said that out of 179 passengers, only 65 people have been identified. What happened was that a Jeju Air plane skidded off the runway and collided with a fence. The two survivors include two crew members.

- The plane accident occurred when Jeju Airlines flight 7C2216 was landing at Muan from Bangkok carrying 175 passengers and 6 crew members.
- After the plane crash, the South Korean government has announced mourning for the victims and their families for the next seven days. That means national mourning has been declared till January 4, 2025.
- While landing, the plane went off the runway and collided with a concrete fence at the airport, after which it caught fire. Thick plumes of black smoke were also seen coming out of the plane engulfed in fire.
- The big thing is that the names, dates of birth and countries of the victims were being shown on the information board of the airport, on which information about the arrival and departure of flights is shown.
- The ministry said that after the control tower warned of bird strike, the plane again tried to land on the runway, which took about three minutes.
- A mayday call was also issued by the pilot just two minutes before the plane crash.
- Muan Fire Station chief Lee Jeong-hyun said during a briefing that the cause of the accident was believed to be a bird strike and adverse weather conditions. However, the exact cause will be announced after joint investigation.
- Jeju Airlines apologized and said it would make every possible effort to help.
