Ramnagar police station arrested a criminal wanted for cattle smuggling carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on Monday. The miscreant has been identified as Vicky Yadav, resident of New Colony, Kakarmatta. Vicky has been sent to jail twice before by the Chitaipur police station for cow smuggling.

On September 27, the police of Ramnagar police station had recovered three protected animals from a Magic. Seeing the police team, the smugglers ran away from the spot. Ramnagar police station incharge Raju Singh said that with the help of Magic’s chassis number, the vehicle owner Sujit Bind, resident of Chandauli, was arrested.

Three years imprisonment to ADO guilty of taking bribe
The court of Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption Act I) Avadhesh Kumar has found the then ADO Pradyuman Kumar Rastogi guilty in a 15-year-old case of taking bribe. The court has sentenced the accused to three years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000.
