SSC CGL Tier 1 paper will be something like this
The paper pattern of Tier 1 of Staff Selection Commission’s Combined Graduate Level Examination 2024 is like this. Questions come from a total of four sections, these sections are – General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
Talking about marking, 25 questions of each section are asked which are of 50 marks. Thus, a total of 100 questions of 200 marks are asked. 60 minutes i.e. one hour is given to solve the paper. Candidates who pass this stage have to appear for the next stage i.e. Tier 2.

Thus, there are a total of four sections in the SSC CGL Tier-1 exam which carry 100 marks. Multiple choice questions are asked which carry a total of 200 marks. Also know that this is a pre-examination which only shortlists the candidates. Its marks are not counted in the final score. After passing this, they are considered eligible to take the next stage.
There is negative marking, answer carefully
Candidates are advised to attempt only those answers which they know. Marks will be deducted for wrong answers and instead of getting marks, marks will be deducted. There is negative marking of 0.5 marks in the exam. That means 0.5 marks will be deducted for giving a wrong answer.
