Family Background of Shivaji Satam
Born on 21 April 1950 in Deogarh, Maharashtra, Shivaji Satam was born in a Hindu Marathi family. He did his schooling from a school in Mumbai. After this, he completed his further studies from a boarding school in Deolali. Shivaji has graduated in Chemistry from Maharishi Dayanand College, Mumbai. After this he did Diploma in Business Management. According to reports, Shivaji was clear from the beginning that he wanted to work in a bank. But something else was written in his destiny.

Shivaji Satam’s struggle and first film
Shivaji applied in many banks and got a job on the post of cashier in Central Bank. He worked there for a few years and after that became the Inspection Officer of Shivaji Bank. During that time, he started doing theater and his inclination increased towards Marathi films. He started his acting career with Marathi films in the year 1975 and left the bank job.

Entry in Bollywood
After Marathi films, Shivaji moved towards Hindi films but the path here was not easy. Actor Bal Dhuri, who played the role of Dashrath in ‘Ramayana’ in 1987, gave his first opportunity to Shivaji in his music drama ‘Sangeet Varad’. Shivaji was seen for the first time in the 1988 film ‘Pestonji’ in which Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi were in lead roles.

Shivaji Satam has worked in many Marathi films and this actor is quite famous there. In Hindi cinema, Shivaji has worked in films like ‘Vastav: The Reality’, ‘Haapoos’, ‘Taxi No. 9 Do 11’, ‘Sooryavansham’, ‘Nayak’, ‘Kurukshetra’, ‘Daag the Fire’, ‘Mustafa’, ‘Jis Desh Mein’. Has worked in many films like ‘Ganga Rehta Hai’, ‘Hu Tu-Tu’, ‘Garv’, ‘Vinashak’, ‘Pukaar’, ‘Vajud’, ‘Baaghi’, ‘Andha Yug’. On TV, Shivaji has appeared in serials like ‘Raaste Nashte’, ‘Aahat’, ‘Adaalat’ and ‘CID’.

Shivaji Satam played many roles in his career but no character like ‘ACP Pradyuman’ of ‘CID’ was a hit.
