In a recent interview given to News18, the actress spoke about domestic violence and sexual harassment faced by her. In the year 2007, she was sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Gaurang along with Flora. Then in the year 2018, during the #MeToo movement, the actress spoke about it for the first time. Flora told that the person whom she had run away from home leaving the family to marry, had become the enemy of her life. One night her boyfriend beat the actress so mercilessly that even her jaw was broken. The actress told that her boyfriend used to threaten to kill her (Flora’s) parents when she used to talk about leaving the house after killing them.
‘And I just ran away’
The actress told about the incident that, one night, he beat me so much that my jaw was broken. Then he took a photo of his father and warned me that I swear on my father that I will kill you tonight, when he turned back to put the photo frame back, then in that moment my mother’s voice rang in my ears. The voice echoed that, ‘Just run away, don’t think whether to wear clothes or not, have money, or not, just run away.. Then I ran away from there and the next day went with the family and lodged a complaint with the police. After narrating the incident, the actress also advised other girls to get out of the toxic relationship and listen to their heart.
