If you want to have cheap and tasty food in Hazaribagh city of Jharkhand, Annapurna Rasoi of Palash Aajeevika Didi Cafe located in the premises of Sadar Hospital is a better option. Here you will get dal, rice, vegetables, pickle, papad and raw onion in the food plate for just Rs.20. It is cheap as well as nutritious.
Sangeeta Sharma, the director of Annapurna Rasoi, says that Didi Cafe is an initiative of the JSLPS of the Government of Jharkhand. A group of 15 women of the area was formed by JSLPS so that they could work unitedly. The building has been provided to them by the district administration to run the kitchen. These 15 women look after all the work in this kitchen. This kitchen was started in July last.
Sangeeta further tells that there are many food options available in the Annapurna kitchen of this Didi Cafe. Breakfast and tea are also available here. At present, daily about 200 to 300 people come to the kitchen to have food, in which patients, their relatives and passers-by are also included in Sadar Hospital. Annapurna Rasoi is open to all. One can come here and have food at very low cost.
Idli Rs 20 plate, Samosa Rs 5 piece, Chola Batura Rs 50 plate, Kachori Rs 5 piece and Jalebi Rs 5 piece are available for morning breakfast of this Annapurna kitchen. Khichdi for Rs.20 plate, Rice for Rs.20 plate, Roti for Rs.20 plate is available in food. There tea is 10 rupees a cup. Milk with hot water has been arranged in the kitchen.
