Dhanbad, Dhanbad is not far behind in terms of taste. But don’t think that only Bihari or Eastern flavors are available here. Foreign dishes are also making a splash here. Hundreds of people come daily to taste Biryani in the royal court. In recent times, an ice cream roll stall has also started here, which is introducing a new flavor to the residents of Dhanbad and now Tornado Potato is tempting people a lot. Most of the people here have tasted this Korean dish for the first time and are becoming crazy about it.
These days the market located at IIT ISM is becoming famous all over Dhanbad for its variety of flavourful dishes. The specialty of the stall here is that there are many dishes available here which are not available anywhere else in Dhanbad. This market is already famous for Biryani and now Tornado Potato is popular here.
Charles, the stall operator of Tornado Potato, told that it is basically a South Korean dish. It is very easy to make and it is very crispy and spicy to eat. This snack is ready in just 20 minutes and there is no answer to its taste.
Tornado Potato Recipe and Price
To make Tornado Potatoes, the potatoes are first peeled with a peeler. Potatoes are cut into spiral cuts with a cutter by putting them on a stick. All the spices are put in a utensil and mixed well, so that after the batter is ready, the batter is applied on the potatoes. The spiced spiral is deep fried in hot oil till it turns golden brown. After this it is sprinkled with many spices and served with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
Charles told that at present two types of Tornado Potatoes are being made, the cost of which ranges from Rs.20 to Rs.40. On the other hand, Kundan Sau, who is enjoying Tornado Potato, told that he had tried it here for the first time a few days back. He likes this dish so much that he regularly comes here to enjoy it. Significantly, this dish is not available anywhere else in Dhanbad.
