Divya, originally from Rewari district of Haryana, had secured her place as an IPS by passing the Civil Services Examination in the first attempt without any coaching. After completing her engineering degree from IIT Delhi, Divya passed the CAT exam and took admission in IIM Bangalore. After completing her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree, Divya went to London to get a job with a good package. First her husband Gagandeep Singh passed the IAS exam and then Divya also managed to get a place.
