Sudan Army Capture President House: Sudan’s army on Friday (March 21, 2025) announced the re -occupation of Rashtrapati Bhavan in the capital Khartum. Sudan’s civil war has now entered the third year and it is expected that this is now a decisive turn. Thousands of people have died in this civil war. Sudan’s army is now conducting a search operation to search for members of the Paramilitary Rapid Support Force (RSF).

Sudan’s Information Minister and his military spokesperson confirmed that the palace had come under the control of the government again. Minister Khalid Ali al-Asar wrote on social media, “Today the flag was hoisted, the palace returned and the journey will continue till the victory is over.” Sudan has an army on one side in this war going on for the last few years in Sudan, on the other side, RSF and both are to take the power of the country in their hands.

Capturing the palace Sudani Army’s big victory

Re -capturing the palace is a major symbolic victory for Sudan’s army because in April 2023, most of the Khartum had reached the RSF’s hands in the early days of the war. A few days ago, RSF leader General Mohammad Hamdan Dagalo vowed to stay on his land. Last week, he said, “Don’t think that we will withdraw from the palace.”

Sudani army celebrated victory

At the same time, the army and associate militia have gradually captured the northern and eastern parts of the city and attacked their target. On Thursday morning, the army ambushed the RSF convoy to the south of the palace. It seemed that RSF soldiers were trying to escape. After this, on Friday (March 21, 2025), Sudani Militian soldiers who fought with the army celebrated the victory.

There was a war in Sudan in April 2023, after which there was tension between Army Chief General Abdel-Fatah Burhan and RSF’s Dagalo for months. The two people captured power together in a military coup in 2021, but they could not agree on how to gather their forces.
