1. Due to excessive heat, the internal temperature of the body rises above 104°F (40°C). Due to which its cooling system gets affected. In such a situation, it needs external help.

4. Due to lack of blood circulation in the organs, many organs do not function properly or may fail. Kidneys, liver and muscles may become weak. This can happen due to high temperature.
5. Excessive sweating can lead to fluid loss and dehydration in the body. This can also disturb the balance of electrolytes like sodium and potassium. This can cause muscle cramps, weakness and heart-related problems.

How to take care in extreme heat

1. If a person is feeling very hot and is unable to bear it, then remove his clothes and wet his skin with a wet sponge, wet cloth or pipe or you can also give him a bath with cold water. You can put ice packs or cold, wet clothes on places like neck, armpits and waist.

2. If the person is conscious and can drink water, give him normal water or sports drink to replace fluids and electrolytes. Avoid caffeine or intoxicants.

3. Keep an eye on body temperature, heart disease and breathing. If there is no response or breathing stops, then CPR can be done.

4. Stay hydrated, consume as much liquid as possible, drink water while exercising or in hot weather.

5. Wear light, loose and light coloured clothes. Avoid going out in the afternoon.
