‘Reena Roy’ and ‘Jeetendra’ played the role of Naag and Naagin. In which some friends come to the jungle and kill the Naag whose girlfriend Naagin takes revenge from everyone. Artists like Sunil Dutt, Kabir Bedi, Feroz Khan, Yogita Bali, Anil Dhawan, Mumtaz, Prem Nath, Rekha, Ranjit, Prema Narayan, Vinod Khanna and Aruna Irani were seen in the film. In 2002, the film ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’ was released which was a remake of ‘Naagin 1976’ which flopped. In Hindi cinema, films like ‘Doodh Ka Karz’, ‘Hiss’, ‘Nagina’, ‘Naagin’ (1954), ‘Nigahen’, ‘Sheshnag’ and ‘Tum Mere Ho’ have been made on snakes and serpents. But the success that ‘Naagin 1976’ had achieved, till date, other films made on this subject have not got it.
