In Daparkha ward number 27 of Supaul’s Triveniganj police station area, at 4.30 am, the grandfather of the groom, who was involved in the wedding procession, died after being beaten up by drunken youths. So the other two people involved in the procession were injured in the fight. As soon as the incident was reported, the Triveniganj police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. The body of the deceased has been taken into possession and sent to Supaul for postmortem.
Giving information about the incident, Ravindra Yadav, father of groom Mithilesh Kumar said that my son was married last night to Rupam Kumari, daughter of Vinod Yadav, resident of Daparkha Ward No. 27. We had come from Jharkaha ward number eight with a procession. After the marriage was over, some baraatis stayed to complete the rituals of Tilak. After completing the rituals, as soon as they left to go back, some youths involved in Sarati came drunk. The youths said that without paying the expenses of the party, how will you leave like this and started fighting.
During this, the youth started fighting with the groom’s 80-year-old grandfather Ramji Yadav. During this, a total of three people involved in the wedding procession, including the groom’s grandfather, were injured. All were brought to Triveniganj Sub-Divisional Hospital, where 80-year-old Ramji Yadav, the groom’s grandfather, died on the way. At the same time, the treatment of two other injured people is going on. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police team led by Triveniganj police station chief Sandeep Kumar Singh reached the hospital and started investigating the matter. Along with this, the body of the deceased has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem.
