On the occasion of completion of three years of Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, Swanidhi Mahotsav will be celebrated on June 1 at Jawahar Bhawan, Municipal Corporation. In the collectorate auditorium on Monday, DM Indra Vikram Singh said that PM Swanidhi Yojana has brought prosperity in the lives of street vendors. This scheme is realizing the visionary thinking and spirit of Antyodaya of the Prime Minister. A small street vendor can also set up his own self-employment and earn his living with dignity.
The DM directed Duda’s project officer Kaushal Kumar to provide benefits of eight central schemes of the government to the loan beneficiaries in Swanidhi Mahotsav. Instructions were also given to set up stalls related to various departments in the festival. Instructed the health department to organize free health check-up camps for street vendors and their families.
Kaushal Kumar told that under the scheme, a loan of 10 thousand is provided to the eligible street vendors. Which gets a subsidy of seven percent if paid on time. On repaying the loan of 10 thousand, a loan of 20 thousand rupees is available. After increasing from 20 thousand, it reaches up to 50 thousand rupees. Annual cashback of up to Rs 1200 will be received on making digital transactions. Interested vendors should bring Aadhaar card, bank passbook and two passport size photographs. ADM Administration Pankaj Kumar, Assistant Municipal Commissioner TP Singh etc. were present in the meeting.
