Swara Bhasker On Kangana Ranaut: Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar worked with Kangana Ranaut in the film ‘Tanu Weds Manu’. After this both were never seen together on screen. Recently Swara talked about working with Kangana again. He also gave his opinion on Kangana Ranaut’s politics. Swara said that Kangana’s politics is related to her own issues.
In a recent interview given to BBC, Swara Bhaskar clearly refused to work with Kangana Ranaut again. He said- ‘At present, there is no such opportunity nor is it going to come for me and Kangana. And that’s okay. Swara further said about not getting films – I do not believe that the people of Bollywood are very bad because they do not want to work with me. I understand the entire background. I think female actresses are brave. Male actors play smartly and safely.
‘Kangana’s politics are very personal issues…’
On the question of her being compared with Kangana Ranaut in matters of politics, Swara said – ‘Both of us can be vocal about our politics. Kangana’s politics has been based on very personal issues. He has kept himself in personal focus. Be it the uproar regarding Bollywood or the issue of Sushant Singh Rajput. Even after that, the way she talks, even regarding the Farmer Protest, her entire politics is to focus on herself.
‘My politics is not that I don’t get work…’
Swara further said- ‘For me, politics is a platform for social and collective change. Till date I have never done such politics, given any such issue where I have highlighted myself. My politics is not that I am not getting work. I am not launching any front to get roles in films.
Will Swara Bhaskar contest elections?
Swara Bhaskar also clarified her stand regarding contesting further elections. He said- ‘Not as of now. Well couldn’t say. I don’t have the qualities of a good politician yet. A lot of patience is required in politics. Sometimes for things with which one does not agree. Young leaders were in our party, people used to say, don’t say this, you can’t say this.
