swati maliwal hits back on aam aadmi party allegations of calling her bjp agent Bibhav Kumar

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Friday hit out at the party’s dismissal of allegations of assault against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar as baseless, saying AAP has succumbed to the pressure of a ‘goon’. ‘ Now questions are being raised on his character.

Maliwal said the party had accepted Kumar’s assault on him but took a ‘U-turn’ after two days. Maliwal made this comment after AAP leader Atishi addressed the reporters.

Atishi had said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had hatched a conspiracy to implicate Kejriwal in the assault case. He said that Maliwal is the face of this ‘conspiracy’ and the allegations made by him against Kumar are ‘baseless’.

Maliwal said in a post on ‘X’, “The leaders who came to the party yesterday called the 20-year-old worker an agent of the BJP. Two days ago the party had accepted all the truth and today took a U-turn.” AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh had said on Tuesday that the incident with Maliwal is highly condemnable. He had claimed that Kumar had ‘misbehaved’ with Maliwal.

Without taking Kumar’s name, Maliwal said, “This goon is threatening the party that if he is arrested, he will reveal all the secrets.” That’s why he is roaming in shelters everywhere from Lucknow.

He said, “Today, under his pressure, the party accepted defeat and my character was questioned by the entire party for saving a goon.” No problem, I have been fighting alone for the women of the entire country, I will fight for myself too. Attack the character brutally, when the time comes the whole truth will come out!

After this, Maliwal alleged in another post, “I have received information that now these people are tampering with the CCTV cameras of the house (Chief Minister’s residence).” Delhi Police allegedly accompanied Maliwal to the Chief Minister’s official residence. An FIR has been registered against Kumar on charges of assault. Atishi said that Kumar has also lodged a police complaint against Maliwal.
