Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Dates Finalised: In the year 2024, a big announcement has been made regarding the dates of T20 World Cup to be hosted by West Indies and America. This tournament will be held from 4 to 30 June. During this, there will be a total of 55 matches in 27 days. At the same time, for the first time in the history of T20 World Cup, 20 teams will be seen playing in this event. For the first time in the history of 147 years of cricket, ICC is going to organize any of its global events in America.

T20 World Cup matches will be organized in total 10 cities of America and West Indies. Regarding this, the dates of all the venues and matches will also be announced soon. Apart from Florida, the 4 cities in America where the matches will be held include Morrisville, Dallas and New York. In this only international matches have been organized in Florida so far, not a single match has been held in the stadiums of the other three cities.

20 teams will participate in T20 World Cup for the first time

Twenty teams will be seen participating in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, in which 15 teams have so far qualified for the main tournament. In the T20 World Cup held in the year 2022, the top-8 teams that are in the top-8 position have directly qualified for the main tournament. Apart from this, apart from Ireland and Scotland, the team of Papua New Guinea has also qualified for the main tournament.

20 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 5 each, after which 40 group matches will be played and top-2 teams from all groups will be able to make it to the Super-8. From here, 4 teams will qualify for the semi-finals and the title match will be played on 30 June. For the first time in the history of T20 World Cup, more than 50 matches will be played.
