In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Sodhi said, “There comes a time in life when you get detached from the world. Many things were bothering you. I tried to work for four years but did not get work. I was troubled for four years. Many things hurt me, I started getting troubled everyday.”
‘The second thing I would like to say is that no matter how big you become, never commit suicide, think ahead in life. It is right to recover after falling. I have seen life in 25 days. Many people said that I ran away, many said that I am on a religious pilgrimage, many people said that I am doing a public stunt, I do not want public stunts, I have never done this in four years. One thing is clear to me that I should not commit suicide.’
He further said, ‘If I had even a 100 percent idea, I would not have done this. But it was God’s will and I stayed there. I used to pray that I should move ahead and go to the Himalayas, I really did not know that this would happen, that someone would find me. I thought that people would search for me for two-three days and then people would get busy with their work. I was alone in the entire journey. I had kept my phone at home. I had withdrawn some money for the journey, only other clothes were there.’

He said, ‘Today I would like to thank all the policemen. This was a family matter for the policemen. They used to say that their family members used to tell them to find Sodhi uncle. They filed everything in the court. When people called me a publicity stunt, I did not even know that this was a word.’
Sodhi is in debt
Sodhi said, ‘I still have debt. I am speaking boldly on camera. Till now I have been paying off my credit card and EMIs. I am repaying my debt by taking loans. The simpler your life is, the better it is. Taking another loan to repay one debt is very wrong. As soon as I get money, I will repay everything. Now I have got financial wisdom. There was a time when I used to lend money to anyone like this.’
‘I want to work from my heart, I am available. I have come on social media. I want to do a lot for the fans. I want to give something in return to the fans, I want to give the real experience of life. When I came to Mumbai, I had a different mindset, I got Tarak Mehta in just 6 months.
