In fact, in an interview to the Indian Express, Gurcharan Singh has revealed the real reason for his disappearance. The actor said, “There comes a time when you distance yourself from your family and the world. Despite trying to get work, I was hurt by my loved ones. I was constantly facing rejection. Having said that, I knew, no matter what happens, I will not think of suicide,”
Gurcharan Singh did not go missing because of debt
The 51-year-old actor further revealed that he did not disappear because he was in debt. He said, “I did not disappear because I was in debt or because I could not repay my debt. I still have debt. My intentions are good and I am still going to pay my credit card and EMIs by taking loans.”
Gurcharan Singh returned home 26 days after going missing
Let us tell you that Singh was reported missing in April this year. However, he returned home after 26 days. On his return, Singh was questioned by Delhi Police officials after which it was revealed that he had left home to go on a religious trip. Police officials had said that Gurcharan had visited gurdwaras in Amritsar and Ludhiana after being reported “missing” but later he realized that he should return home.

In an interview to Bombay Times, Gurcharan Singh had said about his disappearance that he had no plans to return. He had said, “I have always been spiritual because of my parents and at this point in my life when I was feeling depressed, I turned to God. I went on a spiritual journey and had no plans to return. But God gave me a sign and he forced me to return home.”
