Kishan Pal, the owner of the Chole Kulche shop, told Local 18 that his shop ‘Delhi’s famous Chole Kulche’ is located next to the State Bank near NIT. Kulche is prepared by placing a special order. Then they are fried in butter in their shop. While frying, celery, fenugreek and coriander are added to enhance the taste. Chole is brought boiled from home. Then as per the demand of the customers, salt, chilli and special secret masala are added to the chole to make it tasty.
The price of chole kulcha is 50 rupees per plate. For 50 rupees you get two kulchas and special chole. The taste is such that Raipur residents queue up to eat it. Chole kulcha worth 5 to 7 thousand rupees is sold daily. The shop has been open for only 5 to 6 months. The shop is open from 2 pm to 10 pm.
