There is one such sweet which was earlier made in summers, but now it is being made in winters as well. We are talking about Pandhari’s laddoos. People all over the world are crazy about the taste of Pandhari Laddu. Every year a large number of people send Pandhari’s laddoos to foreign countries. There is a crowd of people from morning to evening to eat Pandhari’s laddus in the shop about 90 years old. The owner of the shop Zorawar told that he has been doing the work of sweets for almost 25 years. Earlier his father and grandfather used to do this work.
Zoravar told that earlier this sweet was made in the villages. It was made from churma. Later this sweet started being made in the cities as well. New things were added to Pandhari’s laddus, and now it has started going to foreign countries as well. Pandhari laddoos made in Bikaner are very famous. The demand for this laddu is high. Pandhari laddoos are made in marriages and small functions.
Pandhari ladoo is a traditional sweet in Bikaner. There are many shops in the city where Pandhari laddoos are made. The taste of the curry made here tempts the common man. In Bikaner, Pandhari’s laddus are sold for Rs.400 a kg. Zorawar says that every two to three months, many people here send Pandhari’s laddoos to countries like Australia and America. This sweet does not spoil for many days.
He tells that Pandhari’s laddu is made from wheat flour. Desi ghee and mawa, sugar are also used in this. Apart from this, saffron, cardamom, almonds, pistachios are also added. 80 kg Pandhari laddoos are made daily. Five to 10 quintals of goods are sold in Bikaner.
