When he stays in Patna for four months and sells chole kulcha on his cart, his younger brother takes care of the farming in his village, Sitamarhi. Whereas, when his younger brother comes to Patna and takes charge of the cart, Lal Babu returns to his village and starts looking after the farming.

This unique method not only helps his business to run continuously, but also keeps him connected to his roots. This harmony of farming and business has become an integral part of Lal Babu’s life. Lal Babu says that many of the spices and pulses he uses in Kulcha Chole grow in his field. Apart from this, he does not throw away the cut pieces of Pao bread but sends them to the village. Which his cow eats.
