The half-burnt body of a taxi driver missing from Mathura’s Jaint area was found in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district. Alleging that no action was taken even after the missing report was registered, the victim’s family protested at the police station on Saturday and expressed their anger. They also demanded immediate arrest of the murderers and action. Meanwhile, CO Sadar pacified the matter by explaining the matter to the family members.
According to the information, the car of taxi driver Rinku son of Dina who went missing on 4th June was found abandoned the next day on a road near Sanjay College in Jaint police station area. CO Sadar Kunwar Akash Singh said that the family members lodged a complaint on 6th June in Jaint police station expressing the apprehension of Rinku being kidnapped. Jaint police investigated and registered a missing person report on 7th June. On 5th June, the half burnt body of a youth was found in Mania police station area of Dholpur district. As the body could not be identified, Dholpur police cremated it as an unidentified body.
Meanwhile, during the investigation, Dholpur police came to know that the half-burnt body was of Rinku son of Dina, a resident of Narsipuram in the refinery area of Mathura district. On this, Dholpur police reached the house of the deceased youth three days ago. On the basis of the photograph of the body and the items found with him, the family members identified the body. On hearing the news of Rinku’s death, the family members became sad. The family members have accused two of Rinku’s friends of killing him and burning the body.
On the other hand, deceased Rinku’s mother Saroj Agarwal alleged that the Jaint police did not register her report for two-three days. If the police wanted, they could have found the son. CO Sadar said that on the basis of the complaint, the missing report of the youth was registered. A case of murder of the deceased is also registered in Dholpur.
