The special thing is that people like the sweet aroma of tea made in earthen pots. Due to which the trend of making tea in earthen pan has increased.

If you are also fond of drinking tea made in an earthen pan, then you will have to come to Ambedkar Chowk of Katihar district headquarters. Here, for many years, people are being served tea from Darjeeling’s special tea leaves. Gautam Yadav, the owner of this shop, said that people keep coming here from morning till evening to sip tea. He sells 500 cups of tea every day.

There is an advantage of having a shop in a crowded area.
Gautam Yadav told that he sets up a tea stall near Ambedkar Chowk. Civil Court, Collectorate and BMP jawan’s barrack are nearby from here. That’s why there is hustle and bustle of people. From officers to workers come here to drink tea. Excellent tea is prepared in an earthen pot, that is why people like it. Gautam told that in the past it was seen that ancestors used to keep milk and curd in earthen pots. Seeing this, I got the idea and started making tea in an earthen pot and the customers are liking it.

500 cups of tea are sold daily
The youth and BMP soldiers who came to sip tea told that they come here every day to sip tea. The taste of tea made in earthen pots is different. Shopkeeper Gautam Yadav told that he buys pure milk from farmers in rural areas. 400 to 500 cups of tea are sold daily. At the same time, tea is served to the customers at Rs 10 per cup. He told that through a partner, special tea leaves are procured from Darjeeling and tea is made from the same in an earthen pot and served to the customers.
