The two-day TEDx-WIPS organised at the campus of Vivekanand Institute of Professional Studies (WIPS) located in Pitampura concluded on Monday. Inspiring personalities from different fields participated on the last day of the event. The speakers shared their experiences with the students. They told the students about the importance of life and about life’s victories and defeats. They also told them the tricks of how to keep oneself comfortable in a hectic life. Amar Ujala was the excellence partner in the programme.
The theme of the event was to remove the mystery from the labyrinth of existence. Students from different colleges participated in the event. First of all, actress Apara Mehta shared her experiences with the students. She said that theatre teaches a lot. Her first earning was Rs 125. She said that working in serials is a challenge. However, nothing is easy. Success is not always achieved. She said that whatever work one is doing, respect it.
While addressing the students, theatre artist Kuljit Singh said that money, a big house, a big car cannot be success. If you don’t fail, you can’t feel success. While telling about his life journey, Kuljit said that when he was doing what he wanted, people stopped him from doing that work, but when he succeeded in this work, now people say that he is right. He told the students that they should not be afraid of defeat. It is important to just keep moving forward.
Similarly, para athlete Shams Alam also won the hearts of the audience. He told about his sports journey. He said that when his body stopped working, he felt alone, but soon he expanded his interest in sports. Now he is representing the country at the international level. Alam told that disabled people face many challenges. Nothing is achieved in a day. One should always have faith in oneself. There is hard work behind every success.
