Tejas Movie Review: Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Tejas’ could not fly in entertainment, neither the dialogues nor the story had power.

Tejas Movie Review: Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Tejas’ has been released in theatres. Kangana is one of those actresses of Hindi cinema in whose name the audience goes to watch films in theatres. Kangana Ranaut, who has received praise many times and won National Awards for her excellent performances, has now brought ‘Tejas’. But has Kangana been able to work her magic again in this fictional story of Indian Air Force officer Tejas Gill? Has she been able to gift a good film in the form of ‘Tejas’ to her fans who were disappointed with ‘Dhaakad’? Let me tell you through this review.

What does the story say: The film ‘Tejas’ is the story of Flying Officer Tejas Gill who is an excellent fighter pilot. This pilot of the Indian Air Force understands the codes of a prisoner seen on TV and starts flying the plane even before the time of her training. She is extra-ordinary and can do anything. To save a soldier of the country, she does not even obey the orders of her seniors and gets ready to face even an inquiry. An Indian spy gets captured by Pakistani terrorists. The video of him being tortured is being shown on news channels. Seeing this, Tejas Gill decides to bring back this Indian spy from Pakistan. This is Mission Tejas. Two Indian pilot officers, Tejas and Offia, go on this seemingly impossible mission. Now whether his mission is successful or not, you will have to see in the film.

First half loose, second half fine
The first half of Tejas is quite loose and boring. There is no excitement in the story. Except for the 10 minutes before the interval, there is nothing to indicate what will happen next. At many places in the film, it seems as if scenes have just been added. They have no connection with each other. Tejas’s boyfriend is introduced directly through the song and that too lasts for 4-5 minutes. The singer who is doing such a big concert is just roaming around and suddenly he comes across the flying show of the Air Force, he is standing there among the audience. The sequences of the film are changing so suddenly that it is difficult to understand. Although the speed of the second half is fine. There are some high points in the story also.

Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Tejas’ is a fictional story.

Neither dialogue is strong, nor emotion, nor VFX
The biggest strength of films imbued with patriotism is their dialogues, which have the power to make you stand up from your chair. But this is the biggest weakness of this film. There is not a single dialogue in the film that will give you goosebumps. The most passionate dialogue of the film is ‘We will fly and fly, we will be useful to the country.’ Now you can guess for yourself. Sarvesh Mewada is both the director and writer of this film and he has proved to be completely weak on both these fronts. Not only on the creative front, but also in terms of technical and VFX, the film has become quite weak. The climax will seem like a video game. Kangana Ranaut talked so much about respect for soldiers during the promotion of this film. But it is sad that in this film being made on the Indian Air Force, they did not take care of many details related to the Indian Air Force. Indian Air Force deserves a better film than this.

Kangana remained cool, Anshul Chauhan’s full number
Talking about performance, Kangana Ranaut has surprised us with her acting many times. But in this film, Kangana has been seen many times ‘excessing’ with her emotions. For example, there is a scene when as soon as Kangana goes to the bathroom in a restaurant, terrorists open fire. You are not able to feel the emotion required from Kangana in this scene. Amidst so many bullets, she sees not her family but a girl, runs towards her and tries to stop the bullets from hitting her with her hands and takes the girl to the bathroom to save her. She also manages her dupatta in this entire scene. This entire scene could have shaken the audience deeply but nothing like this happens. When Kangana is on screen, you hardly pay attention to anyone else. But actress Anshul Chauhan, who is seen in the role of Aafia, impresses the most in her performance in ‘Tejas’. Anshul looks so real in every scene that what can be said. Apart from him, everyone in the film looked awestruck in front of the brilliance of ‘Tejas Gill’.

Anshul Chauhan is seen in the role of ‘Aafia’ in this film.

A lot of patriotic batter has been wrapped in ‘Tejas’, but the film is neither able to connect with itself, nor is it able to do anything amazing, nor is it able to entertain. After ‘Dhaakad’, even Kangana’s ‘Tejas’ will not be able to heal the wounds of her fans. This film is 2 stars from my side.
