A priest died in the attack on the church
In this report, quoting Shamil Khadulaev, the chief of the Dagestan Public Monitoring Commission, it has been said that a priest died in the attack on the church. At the same time, 6 policemen have also lost their lives. Whereas, in this attack, at least one police officer has been injured in the firing at a traffic post.

Shamil Khadulaev, chairman of the Dagestan Public Monitoring Commission, said that According to the information I received, Father Nikolay was murdered in the church of Derbent, his throat was slit. He was 66 years old and very ill. He also said that a security guard at the church, armed only with a pistol, was shot.
Khadulaev said other priests have locked themselves in the church and are waiting for help. Meanwhile, a fire has broken out in the synagogue, and huge flames and smoke are coming out of the windows on at least one floor of the building. However, officials say that they are gathering information about the number of casualties.
