Then suddenly terrorists attacked the bus. The driver was also shot in the attack and due to which the bus fell into the ditch.

What is the provision for compensation?

If someone dies in a terrorist attack, there is a provision for compensation from the Home Ministry of the Government of India. In response to a question, the Home Ministry has mentioned that after April 1, 2008, there is a provision for giving a fixed amount of financial help as compensation to the family of civilians killed in terrorist attacks. This amount was Rs 3 lakh in the year 2008. Now it has been increased by the government.

State government also gives compensation

Different state governments have different provisions for compensation for citizens killed in terrorist attacks. For example, if a terrorist attack takes place in a state, then compensation is given by the central government. And if citizens of other states are also affected in that attack, then the governments of the states of which those citizens are, also give them compensation on their behalf.
