It is said that Mantu Singh, son of Santosh Singh, resident of Kalyanpur village of police station area, and Pushpa Kumari, daughter of neighboring Hiralal Singh, were having a love affair for the last 3 years. Later, two years ago, both of them ran away from home, but due to pressure from their family members, both of them had to return. Later in the year 2022, Pushpa’s family got married somewhere else. After marriage, when she returned to her maternal home, she once again fell in love with her lover Mantu Singh and ran away from home.

Meanwhile, Mantu Singh and his family members started preparing for Mantu’s marriage somewhere else and Pushpa started being harassed. Regarding this, a case of dowry harassment was also registered by Pushpa in Gopalganj Mahila Police Station. Here, about four months ago Mantu Singh was arrested by Mahila Thana police and sent to jail. Before this, the girl Pushpa was living in her lover’s house. Just a few days ago, Mantu Singh was released from jail and went straight to his home. Where his girlfriend Pushpa was living.

When the door of his house did not open till Thursday afternoon, the people nearby became suspicious. When people peeped in, Pushpa’s body was found hanging from the fan in the room, while Mantu’s life was taken by slitting her throat under the bed. Looking at the scene of the incident, it appears that an attempt has been made to murder both of them and make it look like suicide. When Bhore police station incharge Anil Kumar got information about this, he reached the spot and took the bodies of both of them in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. In this regard, Police Station Head Anil Kumar said that the entire matter is being investigated closely. The primary case will be registered on the basis of the statement of the family members.
