There was an uproar on Tuesday in connection with the death of Namita Yadav (25), who was found hanging two days ago in Naubazar village of Uttaran. The father who came from Mumbai reached the police station with the dead body. Told not to perform the last rites before the case was registered. After hours of hard work, the police registered a case against six in-laws, then the dead body was taken for the last rites.

Namita was originally a resident of Lahora village of Bhadohi. She was married on 21 May 2019 to Pradeep Yadav, a resident of Naubazar village of Uttaran. On February 19, she was found hanging at her in-laws’ house. On information, the police reached and informed father Rajitram Yadav, who lives in Mumbai, and sent the dead body for postmortem. After the post-mortem on Monday evening, when the in-laws wanted to pick up the dead body, the father said over the phone that the last rites would be performed only after his arrival. When the in-laws protested, there was a dispute with the relatives from the maternal side. After which the in-laws fled leaving the dead body.

On the other hand, the relatives went to Bhadohi with the dead body. On reaching Tuesday afternoon, the father and other relatives took the dead body and directly reached the Uttaran police station. The father alleged that his daughter was murdered for dowry. The last rites will not be performed until the case is registered. There was an uproar regarding this. Later, a case was registered against husband Pradeep Yadav, father-in-law Mohanlal, mother-in-law, brother-in-law Sandeep Yadav, sister-in-law Mahima and Anjana on father’s Tahrir, only then the family members were pacified. Then the body was taken for the last rites.

The people of the maternal side were asked to give Tahrir on Monday evening only. But then after the arrival of the father, it was said to give a complaint.
