Bahraich: The family members of Pradeep Kumar, resident of Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, were looking for a girl for marriage. Meanwhile, the lockdown spoiled the whole matter. At one place, a marriage took place and that too broke down. After this, Pradeep saw an advertisement in the newspaper in which it was written that people should contact for marriage. Pradeep took the information by calling the number given in it. A girl picked up his call and agreed to marry Pradeep. Gradually, conversations started between Pradeep and the girl. The girl slowly got lakhs of rupees deposited into her account by talking softly to Pradeep. Now Pradeep has been making rounds of the court for 2 years but is unable to find any trace of the girl.
How a young man from Bahraich got trapped in the trap of a fraud girl
The people of the house of Pradeep Kumar Mishra, resident of village Parsohna of Hardi police station area of Bahraich district, are looking for a bride for marriage. Then they got married at one place but in the meanwhile the marriage broke due to the lockdown and then the relationship was not working out for a long time. One day Pradeep saw an advertisement in the paper. It was written in it, contact for marriage. Pradeep immediately dialed that number from his phone and got the information. The girl who picked up the phone told her name as Khushboo Devi and then gradually Pradeep and Khushboo started talking on the phone. During the conversation, Khushboo demanded money from Pradeep.
At first Pradeep refused but later he fell into the trap and deposited ten thousand rupees in Khushboo’s account. By doing this, Khushboo extorted one lakh seventy thousand rupees from Pradeep in several installments. After that she switched off the number and went missing.
Heartbroken by this incident, Pradeep complained about the matter to former DM Dr. Dinesh Chandra. On his orders, an FIR was also registered against unknown Pradeep but no trace of Khushboo Devi was found. For the last two years, Pradeep has been making rounds of the police station to either marry the girl or return the money.
