The court’s verdict in the gangster case against Ghazipur BSP MP Afzal Ansari and his brother mafia Mukhtar Ansari was postponed to today i.e. Saturday. The verdict could not come today due to the absence of the judge. The court has fixed April 29 as the next date.
this is the whole matter
It may be known that on November 22, 2007, the Muhammadabad Police had filed a case under the Gang Bandh Act by including MPs Afzal Ansari and Mukhtar Ansari in the gang chart involving various cases.
Ghazipur MP Afzal Ansari is out on bail in the case. On September 23, 2022, the charges against MPs Afzal Ansari and Mukhtar Ansari were prima facie framed in the court. The statement of the second witness Surya Prakash Yadav was recorded on February 14 after the prosecution completed the testimony of the first witness retired Inspector Ram Daras Yadav on January 12.

On completion of the prosecution evidence, the date of February 16 was fixed in the court for the exculpatory evidence, but the exculpatory evidence was presented on behalf of the Ansari brothers on 21st February. After putting several dates for the debate in this matter, the debate was completed on April 1 on behalf of MP Afzal Ansari.

After this, the debate on behalf of Mukhtar Ansari in the gangster case was completed on the second day. The court reserved the verdict. Along with this, the date of pronouncing the verdict was fixed for April 15. In the case of another gangster, on December 15, 2022, Mukhtar Ansari and Bhim Singh were sentenced to 10-10 years imprisonment by the same court.
